The Blazers had a 4.7% chance to win today's WHL bantam draft lottery....and good luck was smiling on them today.
The Blazers ball was drawn and they will jump from 6th to 4th in the bantam draft. 4th overall will be the highest pick in franchise history. Their previous highest pick ever was 5th overall in which they selected Jimmy Bubnick - 2006.
Blazers Director of Player Personnel Matt Recchi on winning today's lottery...
"It's pretty important. There's four or five elite players in this year's draft and after that there's a bunch of good players. With winning the lottery we put ourselves in a good position where we should get a real impact player in the draft."
