Blazers in Snowy Spokane

- The Blazers arrived in Spokane shortly before 6am and were greeted by a recent dumping of snow that has blanketed much of Eastern Washington. Snow...and cold. Temperatures were around -20 overnight and today have hovered around -13. Tomorrow is American Thanksgiving.

- The Blazers didn't skate today. Rather they took the time to rest for 2nd meeting of the season between the clubs. Spokane won the first in a shootout 4-3 back on October 5th. This is the first game of a home-and-home set. The Blazers host the Chiefs Friday night back at ISC.

- Brendan Ranford gets back in the line-up tonight after sitting out his one-game suspension for his role in Saturday's melee in Portland. Chase Schaber and JC Lipon remain suspended and did not make the trip.

- It's been exactly one year since Guy Charron took over the coaching duties for Barry Smith. Charron has been behind the bench for 67 games posting a record of 33-30-0-4.

- Spokane is coming off a 3-1 win in Portland Sunday night in Portland. The night before they were beaten 8-3 by rival Tri-City.

- An interesting note in last night's game. Matt Needham's first-ever WHL goal was assisted by JT Barnett - it reads #14 from #22 on the scoresheet at 14:22 of the first period.
