A few pics...

Three WHL radio guys out for a Mexican food lunch Friday... l to r Jon Rosen (Everett), me, Pat Siedlecki (Lethbridge). No midday beers on game-day
All the staff at El Parasio were in Silvertips gear for game-day. Good to see some WHL flavour downtown,

The Blazer bus outside Comcast Arena. Driver C.C. was busy putting in some carpet while the team practiced.

------------
Here's what Silvertips Coach Craig Hartsburgh had to say to Nick Patterson of the Everett Herald:
"Our goalie won the game for us, Everett coach Craig Hartsburg said. He was the best player on the ice, thats the reason why we won."

I thought there was not one other player on our team who was good, Hartsburg said. There was no effort, there was no work, there was no structure, there was selfishness. It was not a good night, but our goalie stole a win for us. Most nights like that you should get your (butts) kicked. We got lucky."
It's gameday in Chilliwack. The team went down to the rink in the morning but didn't skate. It's the Bruins home opener is tonight. There's plenty of pre-game ceremony which will push the face-off back to about 7:15pm. They are honouring First Nations people tonight as they begin a new season in Chilliwack.

The Everett Silvertips submitted the tape of Lyndon Saip's hit on Clayton Cumiskey last night. Cumiskey needed some help to get off the ice in the 2nd period and never returned.

The Blazers are expected to hear back from the league this afternoon.

We're on the air at 6:30pm with the pre-game show.... www.radionl.com
