Blazers in Kelowna

The Kamloops Blazers jump from one divisional rivaly to another tonight as they play in Kelowna against the Rockets.

The Rockets lost their first four games but have won their last two including a thrilling come-from-behind 4-3 SO in Everett. It's a game the Rockets trailed 3-0 in the third period.

The Blazers had a long-weekend home and home split with Vancouver. F Jordan DePape and F Chase Souto aren't expected to play. Either is D Josh Caron who is probably still six weeks away from getting back to action with his collarbone injury.

--------

Brendan Ranford has eight points in his last four games to lead the team with 12 overall. The top line of Ranford along with Chase Schaber and JT Barnett have combined for 30 points.

-------

The Blazers have given up just over four goals a game. In their last outing, G Jeff Bosch was pulled in favour of Jon Groenheyde after giving up a 4th goal,

Goals against is no doubt on the mind of the Blazers as they begin another three game in four night stretch.

-------

On the Rockets side there's some interesting numbers. The first one is "Where's Wudrick?" The 20 year-old F has only one assist in his first six games and is a team worst -6. Seeing Wudrick play the last four seasons, he's no doubt a streaky player. He can go ice-cold, but can also be red-hot... it seems like there is no happy medium.

-------

The Blazers have been served a total of 24 fighting majors. That's three a game through the first eight on the schedule. Thas leads the league as well.

-------

The Blazers were 6-2 vs the Rockets last season.

We're on the air at 6:30pm with the pre-game show, play-by-play at 7pm from Prospera Place.
