Attendance Up Again

Press Release:

The Swift Current Broncos attendance has increased again for the 2008-09 regular season. The Broncos average attendance was 2,287, which was a 9.3% increase over the 2007-08 season when the team averaged 2,092 fans per game. Only Saskatoon had a higher percentage increase than the Broncos did this past season in the WHL.

The Broncos led the WHL in increased attendance last season with a jump of 10.2%. Over the past two seasons the Broncos have seen their attendance number jump a total of 20.4% which leads the WHL, Saskatoon is second with an increase of 12.8%. The Broncos have gone from an average attendance of 1,899 in 2006-07 to 2,287, a jump of 388 fans per game over 2 seasons.

The increase is due in large part to the renovations of the Credit Union i-plex which increased the capacity from 2,453 to 2,879 including 10 additional private suites. The Broncos would like to thank the people of Swift Current and Southwest Saskatchewan for their continued support.
