Injury Update / Tassone Named December Captain

Press Release:

Swift Current Broncos Head Coach and General Manager Dean Chynoweth announced the players wearing captain letters for December.

The Broncos are using the rotating system with captains and assistant captains.

For the month of December, 19 year old Matt Tassone will wear the Captain “C”.

Chynoweth says: "Matt has been one of our most consistent players each night. He competes and battles in areas that make teams successful and leads by example."
Tassone, from St. Albert, Alberta is in his 3rd season with the Broncos
. He has 23 points, including 14 goals in 23 games so far this season.

Tassone was selected by the Dallas Stars in the 6th round at last year’s NHL draft.

The assistant captains when the Broncos wear their white or grey jerseys are: Jan Dalecky, Derek Claffey and Eric Doyle.

When the Broncos wear their black jerseys, the assistant captains are: Keegan Dansereau, Derek Claffey and Cody Eakin.

------------------------------

The Broncos are getting close to getting some injured bodies back but don't expect much help for tomorrow night's game in Prince Albert.

Both Keegan Dansereau, Ryan Molle and Jordan Peddle were on the ice and could play as early as the weekend. To see Peddle back on the ice was great. Coming off his 2nd concussion this season, Peddle has gone through the protocol and is obviously symptom free.

Cody Eakin continues to get better from an ankle sprain sustained a 10 days ago. He could be available for the weekend or possibly make a return on the BC swing which begins a week from tonight in Edmonton.

Not sure on the Jesse Dudas injury situation at this point. More should be known next week.
