Major League Beatdown

Embarrassing.

(pic from espn.com)

No this isn't the score from the NFL pre-season game between the Houston Texans and the Baltimore Ravens....

Last night the Texas Rangers scored nine runs in the 6th, ten in the 8th and six more in the 9th for the 30-3 pasting.

It marks the first time since 1897 a team has scored 30 runs in a game. To add insult to injury, it was game one of a doubleheader. Texas took the 2nd game 9-7.

Even the NFL Baltimore Ravens were laughing, the team that plays across the street hasn't given up 30 points since Week 12 of 2005.

The latest Bronco news is below.....

Hey JK,

Did you notice the strangest stat from this game? Wes Littleton got his first save of the year in a 30-3 ball game!!!! How you ask - MLB has a rule that if you pitch 3 or more innings in relief to conclude a game that your team wins, you earn a save. Littleton pitched the 7,8 and 9th inning and picked up the save. I don't think there has been an easier save in MLB history.
