Schenderling Signs With Augusta Lynx / Desjardins Moving On? *UPDATE*

WHL rumblings.... Medicine Hat Tigers Head Coach and G.M. Will Desjardins is close to a deal to be the new head coach of the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League. Apparently the two sides could announce something this week. Watch for it!

UPDATE** - Fellow WHL blogger Andy Kemper www.afterthewhistle.blogspot.com informs me that the Griffins have hired Mike Strothers for the position. Thanks for the update Andy. We'll see what this leads to for Desjardins.

---------------------
Swift Current Broncos graduated forward Jeremy Schenderling has signed a pro contract with the Augusta Lynx of the East Coast Hockey League.
This just happened today and is hot off the presses. Schendo was a five year WHL veteran who reached the 300 games played plateau this season.

He'll will give pro hockey a try this upcoming season and make a decision on his future from there.

Good job Jeremy and good luck!

There's a hot story going around that Tim Kehler is the new Assistant Coach of the Swift Current Broncos. He has resigned from the Trail Smoke Eaters of the BCJHL. There's a couple sources reporting that his destination is here but the Broncos hockey club has yet to confirm it. The blog will have all the details once it's confirmed.

Yeah, it seems the talk around the league is that he may get another opportunity elsewhere. We'll see I guess.
